文物特色

石屏立于未名湖北岸迤东，土丘之阳，面水背山，四扇子屏每一扇自成一景又联为一体。屏风上的题字是乾隆御笔题写的两副对联，分别为：“画舫平临蘋岸阔”“飞楼俯映柳荫多”“夹镜光徵风四面”“垂虹影界水中央”。 文字清秀遒劲，写得潇洒倜傥，卓尔不凡，石屏上下分别有荷叶卷边纹，十分精致。

历史溯源

此石屏风本是圆明园景“夹镜鸣琴”的遗物，这四句诗分别描写了和珅仿“清漪园”中的清晏舫建造的画舫遗物，和当年圆明园内画舫周围的景色，当时圆明园被焚毁后，石屏风被埋没于乱岗荒草之中。燕大建校时被发现，随后安放于未名湖北岸。

Distinguishing feature

Stone screens are located in the east of north edge of WeiMing Lake. Every of them is a scenery while four of them are linked to a whole. The words on them are two pairs of couplets written by Qianlong. Characters are comely and natural. The screens have lotus leaf edges which make them so dedicate.

History

The Stone Screens were relics of Yuanmingyuan. The poem described the scene of painted boat. After Yuanmingyuan was fired, they were buried in the disorderly grass until found and placed on the edge of WeiMing Lake.
